Our pricing is transparent, so you can compare it against what you are spending now without having to ask us first. Everything below is plus GST.
What It Costs
Payroll software — $10 per user, per month. The Tempus platform, configured to your business, with timesheets, reimbursements, and leave management included.
Specialist time — $200 per hour. The team based in New Zealand who run your pay run, and who pick up the phone when something changes.
Onboarding — $1,000 per five-hour block. Onboarding is charged on time. The first block is free on a twelve-month term.
Additional Options
Rostering module — $5 per user, per month. Optional. Rostering on Tempus, the same system as the pay run, so approved leave shows on the roster and no spreadsheet runs alongside it.
Managed time clock, Wi-Fi — $79 per device, per month. Wi-Fi only. Mounted or portable in a rugged case, supplied and managed by us. Three sites means three devices.
Managed time clock, Wi-Fi + 4G — $129 per device, per month. Wi-Fi and 4G, for sites where you cannot rely on Wi-Fi alone. Same hardware, same management, its own connection.
What a Typical Month Looks Like
A twenty-person business on Tempus, without rostering, is only $200 a month, plus the specialist time its pay run actually takes. Adding rostering is only an extra $5 per person, per month. Adding a time clock is only $79 for your site. The variable is the time, and the time depends on how complicated your arrangements are — which is why we would rather look at a real pay run than quote a range.
Per-user pricing means you are not paying for headroom. It moves with your team rather than sitting in a band you have half outgrown, and there is no step change when you hire one more person.
Time is charged for what it takes. Fixed fees hide the cost of a messy pay run; time and cost surfaces it. Either can be reasonable, but it is worth knowing which one you are buying before you sign.
No fee per person, per pay run. Some providers charge each time an employee appears in a pay run, so paying fortnightly costs twice what paying monthly does for exactly the same people. We do not do that.
A Number Against Your Actual Pay Run
Headcount, pay frequency and how complicated the arrangements are will move the total. Fifteen minutes gets you a real figure rather than a range.
